History of Communication

Nevadans have made a habit out of finding innovative ways to communicate.

From telegraphing our state constitution during the Civil War to online gaming, Nevada has always used communication technology to its benefit.

With the History of Communication Museum in a Box, students will have an opportunity to explore different forms of communication like rock writing, telegraphs, typewriters, cameras, primary documents, and digital technology while learning about their role in the history of our state and our country. This box includes an array of objects and activities that allow students to experience the different types of communication technologies from the past.
