Our volunteers are the backbone of the Museum guest experience, from engaging with guests and guiding tours to assisting with special exhibits and events. Volunteering at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas is a fantastic way to expand and share your knowledge, give back to our community and support lifelong learning. 

We welcome both newcomers and seasoned volunteers — from students to retirees and everyone in between — and we are committed to placing you in the department that best aligns with your interests and goals. Artifact Donations

The museum does not purchase artifacts which means that our collections are built by you! Once accepted, your items will be available for research for generations to come.


The Friends mission is to to encourage, foster, and assist Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas programs and activities by volunteering, fundraising, and promoting community interest in the museum.
